UNTITELED 1 - CLAY, WOOD SUBRAT & MYCELUIM - 2026
This piece questions decomposition as a generative process rather than a destructive one. The broken clay form serves as a host, into which I introduced a wooden substrate from which the mycelium grows, colonizing the two clay pieces and merging them into one. This gesture highlights a fundamental ecological dynamic: broken matter becomes the site of a new living organization. Rupture is explored not as loss, but as a condition of possibility for biological renewal.
